Aaron is pleased to be joined by a guest co-host for the first time! Herandy Lucas Pino joined Aaron for a wide-ranging interview with Adam…
The Unleash Generosity Podcast explores the intersection of faith, service, philanthropy, and community. The non-profit sector is filled with beauty and complexity and offers the comfort of both commonly held values as well as diversity of thought. Join us as we dig into conversations with clergy members, community activists, scholars, non-profit leaders, donors, and volunteers. We hope you leave every episode challenged and inspired.
Welcome! I’m Aaron Scott and I started the Unleash Generosity podcast to provide a space to unpack the complexity of faith-based engagement in the world. As a Christian, I believe the life of Jesus and his teachings have power to transform the world. But, I also recognize that religion, and Christianity in particular, has been the source of great suffering throughout history. Regardless of your faith tradition, you are welcome here. If you don’t believe in God or aren’t sure what you believe, I invite you in as well. Together, we will explore why different individuals and groups serve, and give generously to help others. We will ask hard questions of ourselves and others. And, we will encourage each other to find imaginative ways to bring more goodness and peace into the world.
I am a husband and father of three. My family lives in rural northeast Tennessee where I work at Salvation Army in Johnson City. I’ve worked in non-profit and higher education fundraising and administration for over a decade. I started this podcast before working for Salvation Army. The views expressed on the podcast are my own and aren’t intended to speak on behalf of or represent Salvation Army.
I’m glad you are here and look forward to learning with you!
